Nursing Response to the B.C. Opioid Crisis
The current opioid crisis is alarming for all British Columbians, and as nurses, we are very aware of the impact it is having on our profession and our communities. Nurses asked us to take a more proactive stance towards supporting those who are experiencing this crisis on a daily basis, whether they are health professionals or individuals in the community and the BC Coalition of Nursing Associations responded by hosting an Emergency Forum on December 14th, 2016, at the Wosk Centre in Vancouver.

The Forum was the first step towards our ongoing efforts to advocate for our frontline nurses and other health workers. Keep an eye on this space to learn more about the outcomes of the forum and next steps going forward.
